We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Maintenance Manager at St Pierre Park Hotel Spa and Golf Resort, part of Hand Picked Hotels.

St Pierre Park Hotel Spa and Golf Resort is a 131 Bedroom, 4 Star luxury hotel located close to St Peters Port on the beautiful island of Guernsey and is renowned for being the largest hotel on the island, and one of the best for a romantic get a way.

Dine on the Terrace overlooking the lake, experience a luxurious spa treatment or play one of only three golf courses on the island, this is the perfect base to explore the wonderful island of Guernsey.

About the Role

As the Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will lead by example and help ensure that the Maintenance Team are motivated and inspired to consistently deliver exceptional service, putting the guest at the heart of all activities.
Being responsible and taking ownership of the safety and security of the hotel and all of it’s guests will be a key part of this role, including maintaining accurate health and safety records.
The role of Assistant Maintenance Manager will involve helping to train and coach a highly motivated team who can maintain the hotel to a consistent level. Monitoring and improving delivery of company brand standards and standard operating procedures.
Being able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines will be a key part of the role.

About you:

To be considered for this role of Assistant Maintenance Manager you will have current hotel Assistant Maintenance management experience within a 4 or 5 star luxury hotel.
Confident with all aspects of the Hotels Maintenance administration, particularly with regards to Health & Safety, as well as having a good all round knowledge of maintenance (including pool plant maintenance), keeping the hotel looking immaculate and in excellent working condition will be your passion and motivation.
Full clean UK driving licence will be required for this role.
With proven experience of training and coaching colleagues, you will enjoy motivating others to be their best.
You will be excellent at building a rapport with colleagues and guests.
Most of all, you will have a professional, organised and friendly approach and be able to anticipate our guests needs and create memories.

A competitive salary package of £39,000 per year, plus a share of service charge.
This is a Full-Time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
