We are currently recruiting for a Health Club & Spa Supervisor at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels.
 
Nestled on the edge of beautiful St Aubin’s Bay in St Helier, Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa is a sophisticated 5 Star resort sitting at the island’s bustling heart. Boasting 123 bedrooms, many with ocean views, this Jersey hotel has gained an enviable reputation as the ultimate wedding venue thanks to its close proximity to the bay’s beautiful sweeping beach. For a unique culinary experience, Grand Jersey’s jewel in its crown is Tassili, an exceptional fine dining restaurant. Tassili boasts 4 AA Rosettes in honour of chef Nicolas Valmagna’s creative flair for combining local ingredients with classic French flavours.

About the Role

  • The role of our Health Club & Spa Supervisor is to deliver an exceptional Member and guest experience, by putting the guest at the heart of everything you do, through personalised and thoughtful service with care and attention to detail.
  • You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of engagement with guests and members throughout their time in the Health Club & Spa to make them feel at home, relaxed, and importantly identify and create magical memories at every possible opportunity. 
  • In collaboration with the Health Club & Spa management, you’ll maintain regular and effective communication to the team supporting them to ensure a seamless operation, aware of all the days activities.
  • By understanding the importance of member retention you will inspire the team to contribute towards individual and departmental goals.
  • Provide guidance, trusting team members to work autonomously to the limit of their current experience and knowledge.
  • Most of all we will want you to be inspired, have fun and enjoy being part of our Hand Picked Team.

About you:

  • To be considered for this role you will have knowledge and experience of working in a luxury four or five star hotel or Health Club as a Supervisor or a Duty Manager with knowledge of managing pool safety.
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, enabling you to be able to anticipate our members and guests needs ensuring they receive a Hand Picked experience.
  • Takes ownership for making routine decisions, seeking advice where needed and accepting accountability for actions taken.
  • Able to lead and motivate a small team and be happy to be hands on in the operation.
  • You will need to be passionate about being organised and able to manage multiple tasks within strict deadlines.
  • Through your enthusiasm and willing approach, you will demonstrate how you find solutions to any scenario.
  • Act calmly and professionally, maintaining an outwardly positive attitude even when under pressure.

  • A competitive salary package of £32,905.60 per year, plus a share of service charge.
  • This is a Full-Time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
