Hand Picked Hotels was founded in 2001 by owner and Chairman, Julia Hands MBE. Whilst each hotel is individual, every property fulfils the company values of family, individuality, community and care, ensuring a hand picked experience for every guest and employee.
 
We are looking for an energetic, commercially driven Sales Executive to support revenue growth across Hand Picked Hotels, with a particular focus on conferences and corporate events. This is a new role to support our Director of Sales for Luxury and Events and Director of Sales for the Channel Islands and we be a key role in driving commercial activity.
This is a proactive, outward-facing role, responsible for identifying, engaging and developing new conference and corporate accounts, while supporting the wider proactive sales team in building long-term client relationships across Hand Picked Hotels’ portfolio.
The Sales Executive will work closely with Proactive Sales Managers and the Group Reservations Office (GRO), generating and qualifying opportunities which can be progressed through the wider sales structure, while retaining responsibility for relationship development and repeat business.
The location for this role is flexible and will be on property based at the nearest hotel, occasional travel required.
 

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

•Proactively generate new conference and corporate business through targeted research, outreach and relationship building.
•Identify, qualify and nurture new accounts aligned to the relevant hotels and the Luxury, Events and Channel Islands divisions.
•Lead business development projects to drive new business & manage developing accounts for Hand Picked Hotels.
•Arrange and support site visits, appointments and familiarisation activity.
•Develop strong, ongoing client relationships to drive repeat and referral business.
•Support the Director of Sales in preparing insightful, data-led content for weekly and monthly sales meetings, including performance analysis, pipeline reporting, account tracking, pace vs. budget reviews, and identifying opportunities to drive focused action across the team.
•Assist in the conversion of multi-site enquiries across Hand Picked Hotels, coordinating availability, rates and proposals across properties, ensuring timely follow-up, commercial alignment and a seamless client experience to maximise cross-property revenue opportunities.
•Establish and maintain a consistent reporting cadence across the sales team, providing clear visibility on production versus target, tracking lead generation performance, and identifying trends and opportunities to drive proactive commercial action.
•Represent Hand Picked Hotels at relevant trade shows, networking events and industry forums
•Support the proactive sales team with client events and hosted experiences.
•Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing to inform sales approach.

Role Requirements:
•Highly pro-active with motivation to drive new business and exceed targets, with relentless drive to pursue opportunities 
•Experience in hotel conference sales or corporate sales essential.
•Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
•Ability to multitask and work under pressure 
•Confident communicator, comfortable engaging senior corporate contacts
•Commercially curious with a structured approach to prospecting and follow-up
•Resilient and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently while part of a wider team
