What will the role involve?
As a receptionist you will have the opportunity to create unforgettable moments, spark joy, and make every guest feel genuinely cared for from the moment they arrive.
In this role, you’re not just welcoming guests, you are crafting personalised experiences that make them feel at home, relaxed, and truly valued through their whole stay.
You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. Working closely with our passionate Front Office team, you will be in the centre of the action being connected, informed, and empowered to deliver a consistent and excelling standout service.
Key responsibilities include checking guests in and out, handling reservations and guest enquiries, processing payments, resolving guest requests and concerns, and working collaboratively with other departments to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel.
In addition, the role will support the Reservations function by managing reservation enquiries and completing associated administrative tasks for OTA, FIT and Corporate bookings. This includes responding to reservation emails, processing amendments and cancellations, managing rooming lists, updating booking details, and ensuring all reservations are accurately entered and maintained within Opera and the relevant booking platforms.
The role requires excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to work well under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This is a full-time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business.
