We are currently recruiting for a Lobby Host at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels.
 
Nestled on the edge of beautiful St Aubin’s Bay in St Helier, Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa is a sophisticated 5 Star resort sitting at the island’s bustling heart. Boasting 123 bedrooms, many with ocean views, this Jersey hotel has gained an enviable reputation as the ultimate wedding venue thanks to its close proximity to the bay’s beautiful sweeping beach. For a unique culinary experience, Grand Jersey’s jewel in its crown is Tassili, an exceptional fine dining restaurant. Tassili boasts 4 AA Rosettes in honour of chef Nicolas Valmagna’s creative flair for combining local ingredients with classic French flavours.

About the Role

  • The role of a Lobby Host is to work as part of the front office team, and be committed to delivering exceptional service to our guests while maintaining Hand Picked Hotels luxury standards, consistently delivering exceptional service, putting the guest at the heart of all activities.
  • You will the main face of the hotel to all guests on arrival, greet guests, organising luggage, offering a valet service ensuring the utmost security and warmest of welcomes at all times.
  • Maintaining a safe, healthy and secure workplace environment, following all work protocol.
  • Assisting with any guests requests whenever required, making thoughtful and knowledgeable recommendations, tailored to the individual guests.
  • Building effective relationships to create a positive working environment will be a key requirement to ensure the success of the department and team.
  • Most of all we will want you to be inspired, have fun and enjoy being part of our Passionate Hand Picked Team.

About you:  

  • Previous experience working in a guest facing role, ideally with a 4/5-star luxury hotel.
  • You will be a local Jersey resident, with an extensive knowledge of the island, tourist attractions, restaurants and local events happening in the area. 
  • Full clean UK driving licence required.
  • Being driven to deliver outstanding and memorable customer service, ensuring our guests feel at home will be your passion and motivation.
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, enabling you to be able to anticipate our guests needs ensuring they receive a Hand Picked experience.
  • You will be excellent at building a rapport with colleagues and guests.
  • Most of all, you will have a professional, organised and friendly approach and be able to anticipate our guests needs and create memories.
