As an experienced Senior Sous Chef you will be responsible for our contemporary restaurant, lounge and terrace within one of Guernsey’s most Iconic hotels and food offerings. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to expand their skill set within an establishment focused on sustainability having worked to a 2 rosette standard using both classical and modern cooking techniques.
This is a management position within our kitchens, so you’ll be working along side the Executive Head Chef to lead the team in the production of our food, compiling the daily mise en place, and ensuring that all food is cooked and presented to our exceptional Handpicked standardsYou'll be managing, supporting, and developing our kitchen teams whilst creating a great place to work. A mainstay of our kitchen team, you’ll be preparing all meat, fish, poultry, vegetables and passing this knowledge onto the team to ensure development and consistency. Attention to detail is key, so you’ll ensure that all kitchen areas are cleaned and maintained to the best health and safety standards and then correct and report any shortcomings.

- To be considered for this role you will have excellent knowledge and experience of the kitchen within a quality driven hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- You will be enthusiastic and willing to take on new responsibilities. Adopt a flexible approach to assist in different areas of the kitchen as business and guest needs dictate.
- You will have the ability to impart your knowledge to the junior members of the team
- Your finger will be on the pulse of all the latest trends, and have the desire to learn the next big thing Having a high level of emotional intelligence, you will be able to anticipate our guests needs ensuring they receive a Hand Picked experience.
