We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Head Housekeeper at Bailbrook House Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels.

What will the role involve?
As Head Housekeerper, you will lead by example, inspiring and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service and create memorable guest experiences, with the guest at the heart of everything we do. You will be responsible for recruiting, training and coaching a high-performing team, empowering them to consistently exceed expectations and take pride in their work. Working closely with colleagues across the hotel, you will monitor and continuously improve company brand standards and operating procedures, ensuring outstanding levels of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction. A confident decision-maker, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing competing priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining a positive and professional approach. You will also have a strong understanding of key business metrics, including labour costs, stock control, forecasting and budget management. Above all, you will bring enthusiasm, energy and a passion for hospitality, enjoying the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team and making a positive impact every day.
This is a full-time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business.
Flexible working hours can be accommodated where possible.

- You will have passion and pride in delivering exceptional, high-quality, personalised service to ensure our guests experiences are memorable.
- Previous experience in a Head Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or similar leadership role within hospitality.
- Strong people management and team development skills.
- Proven experience managing budgets, stock control, and labour costs.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of health & safety, COSHH, and housekeeping best practices.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work according to the needs of the business.
